Dirt Delivery

Dirt is the foundational product of the NotDuneVision catalog. Before there was gravel, before there was topsoil, there was just dirt — and we have maintained a deep and abiding respect for it ever since. Our fill dirt and clean dirt products are sourced from excavation projects and local suppliers across Northwest Indiana, ensuring consistent quality and appropriate pricing for the volume you need.

We offer two primary categories of dirt: fill dirt for bulk grading and leveling applications, and screened clean dirt for situations where you need dirt that has been run through a screen to remove rocks, debris, and organic matter. Both are excellent. One has been through more processing. That one costs a little more. This is how dirt pricing works.

Dirt Types Available

• Fill Dirt — Unscreened bulk fill for grading, leveling, raising low spots, and filling large voids. May contain rocks, clay pockets, and the occasional mystery object. Great for non-planting applications.
• Clean Fill Dirt — Screened fill material with reduced rock content. Better consistency than standard fill, suitable for sub-base preparation and structural fill applications.
• Screened Dirt — Processed through a 3/4" screen for a more uniform product. Suitable for fine grading, gentle slopes, and situations where you need fill that won't leave large rocks at the surface.

• Raised bed base fill (use topsoil for the top layer)

• Under-slab base preparation
• General site preparation

An Important Note About Dirt

Fill dirt is not topsoil. It does not contain the organic matter necessary to support healthy plant growth. If you are establishing a lawn, creating a garden bed, or doing any kind of planting, you want topsoil — not fill dirt. Mitchell will tell you this when you call. Scooter will also tell you this. The Stick communicates this through silent judgment.

If you order fill dirt for a planting application, we will fulfill the order and also gently mention that you probably want topsoil for the top 6 to 8 inches. We are not here to upsell you. We are here because we care about your project's outcome, and also because we have a lot of both products and would like to move them.
